Common questions

Things folks ask before they call.

What should I do during a plumbing emergency outside business hours?

Call us first — (207) 785-2145. Our emergency response team has a track record of showing up when customers need us, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. In the meantime, shut off the main water valve to limit damage, and clear the area around the issue so we can get to work quickly.

What's included in a routine plumbing inspection?

A routine inspection covers visible supply and drain lines, fixtures, water heater condition, shut-off valves, and signs of leaks or corrosion. We'll walk you through anything we find and give you our honest take on what needs attention now versus what can wait.

How can I prepare my heating system for a Maine winter?

Schedule a pre-season tune-up in early fall before the cold settles in. Replace filters, check fuel supply, and make sure all vents and intakes are clear. We'll inspect burners, controls, and safety devices so the system is ready when temperatures drop — which around here happens fast.

What are common signs my air conditioning needs service?

Watch for weak airflow, warm air coming through cool vents, unusual noises, water pooling near the unit, or a sudden jump in your electric bill. Any of these are worth a call — small issues caught early are almost always cheaper to fix than the breakdown they turn into.

Do you offer emergency service on weekends and holidays?

Our standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. For genuine emergencies outside those hours — including weekends and holidays — our response team has shown up time and again. Call (207) 785-2145 and we'll work with you.
